Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic, experienced dedicated Floor Staff to join our vibrant team. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of service, from assisting with food preparation to providing attentive customer service in a fast\-paced setting.
Must have

- Provide information about our menus, offer appropriate recommendations, and communicate any menu changes or out of stock items to the guest straight away
- Communicate effectively with the bar and kitchen staff so that orders are completed accurately and efficiently
- Work well under pressure and in a fast\-paced environment
- Be a team player and support your fellow team members to ensure the customer receives the best experience possible
- Be polite with customers
- Participate in staff briefings and any training programs implemented to improve personal and departmental standards
- Report to shift on time and in the correct uniform
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene
- Handles complaints as per instruction or consults the immediate supervisor/manager
- Upsell additional products when appropriate
- Accurately place food and drink orders using the POS system
- Serve food and drink orders
- Deliver checks and collect bill payments
- Follow all relevant health department regulations
- Carry dirty plates and silverware to the kitchen for cleaning
- Carry dirty glasses to the bar for cleaning
- Arrange tables to accommodate large bookings when required
- Check customer’s ID to ensure that they meet the age requirements for alcoholic beverage consumption
- Prepare tables by setting up silverware, napkins, and menus
- Maintain a clean and tidy dining and bar area by sweeping, mopping and dusting when needed
- Ensure the cake station is always clean and stocked
- Ensure you are complying with the allergen procedure in place and if unsure report to line manager
- Go above and beyond for our guests so that they leave the restaurant feeling satisfied and wanting to return
- Be a fun loving, energised team player
- Be willing to lend a hand to other departments whenever required
- Completion of open and closing duties
- In the fast paced environment of Hospitality and as part of a tight knit team it will sometimes be asked of you to do tasks that are not part of your day to day job description.
