We are looking for an experienced, energetic and hands\-on Floor Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the smooth running of service.
You will be a key member of the management team, leading the front\-of\-house operation, maintaining exceptional service standards and ensuring every guest receives a consistent, welcoming and professional experience.
This is a hands\-on role suited to someone who enjoys leading from the front, developing people and taking ownership of the operation.
Key ResponsibilitiesService \& Operations
- Lead and manage the floor during daily service.
- Ensure consistently high standards of guest service and hospitality.
- Manage reservations, table plans, guest flow and service timings.
- Maintain excellent communication between the floor, bar and kitchen teams.
- Resolve guest issues professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor service standards and take immediate action where required.
- Conduct pre\-service briefings and post\-service debriefs.
- Ensure the venue is opened, operated and closed to the required standard.
- Maintain company SOPs, health \& safety and food safety standards.
- Lead, motivate and support the front\-of\-house team.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively throughout each service.
- Train and coach team members to improve performance.
- Assist with onboarding and development of new employees.
- Provide feedback and contribute to staff performance reviews.
- Maintain high standards of appearance, punctuality, professionalism and conduct.
- Build a positive, accountable and team\-focused working environment.
- Support the General Manager in achieving sales and profitability targets.
- Monitor service performance, labour costs and productivity.
- Drive average spend through effective upselling and product knowledge.
- Minimise waste, errors and unnecessary costs.
- Monitor stock levels and support stocktaking procedures.
- Understand key restaurant KPIs and use them to improve performance.
- Act as a senior point of contact for guests.
- Build strong relationships with regular customers.
- Proactively identify opportunities to exceed guest expectations.
- Handle complaints and difficult situations calmly and professionally.
- Ensure the restaurant experience consistently reflects the venue's brand and standards.
- Previous experience as a Floor Manager, Assistant Manager, Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager or Senior Supervisor.
- Strong understanding of restaurant and hospitality operations.
- Proven experience leading and developing a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of hospitality KPIs.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in a busy service environment.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience.
- Professional, positive and solutions\-focused approach.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
Expected hours: 25\.0 – 40\.0 per week
