This is a floating support worker 18 hrs per week permanent post

This is a rewarding opportunity to support people aged 55 and over, including individuals living with mental health needs and physical disabilities, helping them maintain their independence, wellbeing and tenancy. You'll work closely with people both within Golau Caredig and in their own homes, providing practical, person\-centred support that empowers them to achieve their goals and live independently.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide flexible, targeted housing\-related support to people living at Golau Caredig and within the wider community, promoting independence and wellbeing.

  • Support individuals with tenancy sustainment, budgeting, accessing services, education, training, employment opportunities and community engagement.

  • Develop and review person\-centred support plans and risk assessments that reflect individual needs and goals.

  • Work collaboratively with external agencies and partner organisations to ensure coordinated support and positive outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and service requirements.

What you’ll bring

  • A caring, compassionate and person\-centred approach with a genuine commitment to supporting others.

  • Experience working with people who have complex needs, including mental health needs, physical disabilities or other support needs.

  • Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.

  • Confidence working independently, managing your workload and maintaining accurate records.

  • Understanding of housing, welfare benefits or community support services would be advantageous.
Applicants must hold a full, valid driving licence, as this is an essential requirement of the role.

A qualification in Social Care or a related discipline is desirable but not essential. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our values and is passionate about helping people achieve greater independence and wellbeing
