What you’ll do
As an Engineering Graduate, you’ll build your technical capability while developing the leadership skills needed to succeed in a fast\-paced, operational environment.
Year 1 – Operational Experience
Gain hands\-on experience across our UK network, understanding how our engineering function supports transport and warehouse operations. You’ll develop knowledge in:
- Fleet engineering management and maintenance operations
- New vehicle technology evaluation, including zero\-emission solutions
- Engineering project delivery within a live logistics environment
In your second year, you’ll build on your first year, broadening your impact and perspective by:
- Working alongside senior leaders across Gist and M\&S
- Delivering engineering projects, innovation and transformation initiatives
- Building commercial awareness, including financial and operational decision\-making
- Collaborating with engineering and operational teams to deliver positive change
Who you are
We’re looking for ambitious, driven graduates who are ready to challenge themselves and build a long\-term career in engineering.
You will ideally have:
- A minimum 2:1 degree in an engineering discipline
- A strong ambition to progress into a leadership role
- A proactive, improvement\-focused mindset
- Confidence working in a fast\-paced, evolving environment
- The ability to adapt, learn quickly, and step outside your comfort zone
- Strong teamworking and communication skills, with a people\-first approach
