Description
To build a high\-performing Company Fire Brigade, we are looking for dedicated and qualified firefighters with completed professional fire service training at qualification levels B1 to B4\.
You will take on a responsible role in establishing and further developing the Company Fire Brigade and will be responsible for ensuring both preventive and active fire protection across the company premises. Your duties will include professional emergency response to fires, hazardous materials incidents, and technical rescue operations, as well as providing initial medical and emergency care.
In addition, you will participate in emergency response and evacuation exercises, ensure the operational readiness of firefighting equipment, and work closely with internal company departments, emergency medical services, and external emergency response organizations.

Responsibilities and accountability
Requirements and expertise
- Responding to fire suppression and technical rescue incidents
- Providing fire safety standby services
- Ensuring on\-site emergency medical care
- Ensuring preventive fire protection
- Conducting routine checks and inspection rounds of fire protection and firefighting systems
- Operating, maintaining, and servicing fire vehicles and firefighting equipment
- Supporting the preparation and continuous development of emergency response and alarm plans
- Contributing to the development of organizational structures within the Company Fire Brigade
- Participating in training, professional development programs, and exercises
- Supporting hazardous materials and environmental emergency response operations
- Working closely with public fire departments, authorities, and emergency response organizations
- Maintaining operational readiness as part of shift work
Education
- Successfully completed training for the intermediate\-level fire service (Qualification Level 2 – B1/B2\), or qualification as an IHK\-certified Fire Protection Specialist, or completed training as a Company Firefighter
- Additionally: Training as an Emergency Medical Responder or Emergency Medical Technician
Work experience
- Several years of professional experience as a firefighter, preferably with experience in a Company Fire Brigade
- Experience in both active and preventive fire protection
- Experience in handling hazardous substances and responding to hazardous materials incidents
- Experience in fire suppression and technical rescue operations
- Experience working in respiratory protection operations
- Experience in rescue and evacuation operations
- Experience working with internal company emergency response teams and public emergency services
- Experience conducting emergency response and fire safety exercises
- Proficient in the use of firefighting vehicles, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- High level of operational readiness, resilience, and sense of responsibility
Critical Competencies
- Willingness to work 24\-hour shifts
- Full medical fitness for fire service duties in accordance with G 26\.3
- Category C/CE driving licence or willingness to obtain one
- High level of operational readiness and strong teamwork skills
