Description
The Occupational Physician supports the company’s management and employees in all matters relating to occupational health and safety in accordance with the German Occupational Safety Act (ASiG), the German Occupational Health and Safety Act (ArbSchG), the Ordinance on Preventive Occupational Health Care (ArbMedVV), and the applicable DGUV regulations.

The objective of the position is to maintain and promote the health and employability of employees, as well as to identify and prevent work\-related health risks at an early stage. The Occupational Physician supports the continuous development of safe, healthy, and sustainable working conditions within the company.

Responsibilities and accountability

Requirements and expertise

• Providing occupational medical care in accordance with ASiG, ArbMedVV, and the applicable DGUV regulations


• Conducting and coordinating occupational medical examinations and preventive care


• Advising company management, managers, and employees on occupational health and medical matters


• Supporting risk assessments, workplace inspections, and the evaluation of work\-related health risks


• Advising on prevention, ergonomics, and healthy workplace design


• Supporting return\-to\-work processes and other occupational health matters


• Contributing to the analysis of occupational accidents and work\-related health risks


• Collaborating with occupational health and safety specialists, HR, and other relevant stakeholders


• Supporting the further development of the company’s occupational health and prevention management

Education

• Medical license to practice (Approbation) as a physician


• Board certification in Occupational Medicine or additional qualification in Occupational Medicine

Work experience

• Several years of relevant professional experience in occupational medicine, preferably in a chemical company or comparable industrial environment


• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety, health protection, and hazardous substances

• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams

• Fluency in English and German.
