Fire & Security Installation & Maintenance Engineer

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Fire \& Security Installation and Maintenance Engineer to join our professional and friendly team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and fault‑finding of fire and electronic security systems across a range of commercial and domestic sites. This role would suit a self‑motivated engineer who takes pride in their work and represents the company professionally at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire alarm systems


• Servicing, fault diagnosis and repair of security systems


• Planned preventative maintenance and reactive call‑outs


• Working in line with relevant British Standards and industry best practice


• Completing job reports, service records and certification accurately


• Providing a high standard of customer service on every visit

• Fire alarm systems (conventional and addressable)


• Intruder alarms


• CCTV systems


• Access control systems


• Emergency lighting (advantageous but not essential)

• Proven experience in fire and security installation and maintenance


• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills


• Knowledge of BS 5839 and related standards (desirable)


• Full UK driving licence


• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team


• Professional, reliable and customer‑focused approach


• Relevant industry qualifications or manufacturer training (beneficial but not essential)

Job Type: Full\-time

Pay: £27,500\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
