Fire Alarm Engineer / Fire Safety Technician

(Subcontractor or Part\-Time – Flexible Structured Hours)

We are a growing fire safety and compliance company seeking a skilled and reliable Fire Alarm Engineer / Fire Safety Technician to support ongoing work across residential and commercial properties.

This role offers flexible working arrangements (Monday–Friday) depending on availability and workload requirements. All work is planned, structured, and agreed in advance, ensuring clarity and consistency.

We aim to support a healthy work\-life balance where possible, while maintaining a reliable and well\-organised service structure.

We are looking for someone who is self\-motivated, professional, and capable of working independently, taking ownership of tasks and delivering high\-quality workmanship.

Strong emphasis is placed on communication, reliability, and teamwork, along with the ability to follow structured scheduling across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fire alarm servicing, fault finding, and remedial works

  • Emergency lighting testing and inspections

  • Basic fire extinguisher checks

  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) – desirable

  • Accurate record keeping and defect reporting

  • Ensuring all works comply with current fire safety standards

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience with fire alarm systems, servicing, and fault finding

  • Strong practical problem\-solving skills

  • Good understanding of emergency lighting systems

  • Ability to work independently and manage workload

  • PAT testing qualification (preferred or willing to obtain)

  • Professional, reliable, and detail\-focused approach

  • Strong communication skills

  • Full UK driving licence required
