Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining security systems across various sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in a challenging environment, contributing to the safety and security of our clients’ premises. The position is well paid according to experience and suitable for individuals with a strong background in electrical, mechanical, or construction disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain fire detection, alarm systems, CCTV, access control, Networking and other security solutions
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to accurately assemble and troubleshoot system components
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out installation tasks efficiently and safely
- Conduct system testing, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure optimal functionality
- Collaborate with project teams during construction phases to integrate security systems seamlessly into building infrastructure
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance
- Ensure all work adheres to health \& safety regulations and company policies
- Minimum 5 years of experience in installation
- Full UK Manual Licence
- Be happy to work on sites themselves and as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of system design principles for fire detection and security systems
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to installation procedures and equipment handling
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and other construction\-related equipment
- Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical drawings
- Electrical experience with wiring, circuit testing, and troubleshooting electrical components
- Familiarity with construction processes and site safety protocols
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
