Due to the continued and planned expansion, A. Alexander \& Son (Electrical) Ltd are looking for an experienced Fire \& Security Engineer based in the greater Glasgow area to provide installation and maintenance support for a range of projects.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for the installation, service and aftercare to a range of Fire alarms, security alarms, access control, CCTV and disable refuge systems.

Enhance and further develop the service business and work in a professional manner both as an individual and within the team. On\-going training will be provided for the right individual for them to develop and expand as part of the team.

• Company vehicle with fuel card will be provided.


• Laptop, mobile phone will be provided.


• Salary relevant to skillset and experience.


• Out of hours call out not required for this role, overtime is available.


• 32 Days Holiday per year

Requirements of the role are

• Minimum 5 years’ Experience in installing fire alarm systems is essential.


• A recognised electrical/electronic qualification.


• An understanding of all relevant British Standards, BAFE \& NSI Codes of Practice.


• Valid driving license is essential.


• Basic commissioning experience in fire alarm systems would be preferred.


• Experience in installing security systems would be preferred.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• The ability to communicate with people at all levels, providing clarity and gaining trust.


• The ability to identify and resolve problems in a manner that enhances the business and complies with legislation.

Starting Salary is dependant on experience. Overtime and travel rates payable in line with SJIB working rules.
