Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, multi\-disciplined Fire \& Security Engineer to join our busy service and maintenance team. While the role is primarily focused on Bristol and the surrounding areas, the ideal candidate must be flexible and willing to travel further afield for a small percentage of the time to support our broader network. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, alongside the ability to work collaboratively to ensure maximum safety and regulatory compliance.
The systems we maintain include:
- Fire alarms
- Intruder alarms
- Access control
- CCTV
- AOV (Automatic Opening Ventilators)
- Emergency lighting
- Fire extinguishers
- Service, maintain, and fault\-find on conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
- Work across integrated security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarms.
- Carry out small remedial works and minor installations when required.
- Complete routine planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive call\-outs.
- Maintain strong communication with the helpdesk and provide professional, customer\-focused service on\-site.
You will work across a varied mix of regular commercial, industrial, and public sector properties. Our customer base includes:
- Commercial offices and industrial warehouses
- Retail stores and restaurants
- Hotels and leisure facilities
- Schools and nurseries
- Property management companies (residential blocks \& HMOs)
- Proven field experience servicing and maintaining fire and security systems.
- Strong multi\-disciplined technical knowledge across Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarms.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., BS 5839\).
- Relevant qualifications (FIA, BAFE, or equivalent) are highly advantageous.
- A proactive, problem\-solving attitude and the ability to work independently.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check (due to working in schools and nurseries).
- Competitive basic salary (dependent on experience).

- Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
