We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fire Alarm & Fire Extinguisher Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, inspection, and fault-finding of fire alarm systems and portable fire extinguishers across commercial & industrial properties.
Fire Alarm & Fire Extinguisher Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with relevant British Standards.
- Install and commission fire alarm systems.
- Carry out routine inspections and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers.
- Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently.
- Complete service reports and certification accurately.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with industry regulations.
- Provide professional advice and support to customers.
- Participate in an on-call rota when required.
- Previous experience working with fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers.
- Good knowledge of BS 5839 and BS 5306 standards.
- FIA qualifications or equivalent are desirable.
- Ability to fault-find and work independently.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with a range of manufacturers including Gent, Advanced, C-TEC, Morley, and Kentec.
