This role operates under the Company's hybrid working arrangements, with an expectation that the postholder will attend the office for a minimum of three days per week. Additional office attendance may be required from time to time to support key business activities, team collaboration, stakeholder engagement and operational requirements.

The contractual working hours are 37\.5 hours per week.

Salary is dependant on experience.

Job Purpose Summary

The Financial Reporting and Treasury Manager is accountable for the Treasury, Asset Accounting and Financial Reporting functions, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful financial information supported by a robust governance and control framework.

The role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, overseeing the Company's treasury and securitisation activities, managing the accounting of a fleet of approximately 3,000 assets, and ensuring all Group, statutory and intercompany reporting requirements are met.

As a member of the Finance Leadership Team, the role holder will lead and develop their team, drive continuous improvement, promote a strong control environment and provide meaningful financial insight to support decision\-making.

Job Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, motivate and develop the Treasury, Asset Accounting and Financial Reporting teams.

  • Establish clear objectives, KPIs and performance expectations.

  • Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, attention to detail and ownership.

  • Provide coaching, technical guidance and support to develop team capability and succession.

  • Promote a strong governance and control mindset across all areas of responsibility.
Financial Reporting and Control
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes, ensuring all reporting is accurate, timely and fit for purpose.

  • Ensure the timely preparation of statutory financial statements and other regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Take ownership of balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and the overall financial control framework.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and Group reporting requirements.

  • Manage the preparation, review and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and reporting deadlines.

  • Oversee the corporation tax process, including the preparation and review of supporting schedules, tax computations and statutory disclosures.

  • Manage relationships with external tax advisers and ensure tax matters are dealt with accurately and efficiently.

  • Lead the annual external audit process, acting as the primary Finance contact for auditors and coordinating activities across the business.

  • Ensure audit requests are managed effectively, information is provided accurately and deadlines are achieved.

  • Drive the timely resolution of audit findings and control recommendations.

  • Develop insightful financial reporting and analysis to support business and financial decision\-making.
Treasury and Funding
  • Provide oversight of treasury operations, cash management and forecasting activities.

  • Maintain strong relationships with banking partners, funders and Group Treasury.

  • Oversee the management and reporting of the Company's securitisation facility.

  • Monitor facility performance, utilisation, compliance and future funding requirements.

  • Ensure all securitisation reporting is accurate, timely and supported by robust controls and reconciliations.

  • Identify opportunities to optimise financing, liquidity and treasury processes.
Asset Accounting
  • Ensure robust governance and control over the Company's vehicle asset portfolio.

  • Oversee the accurate accounting and reporting of vehicle additions, disposals, losses and transfers.

  • Ensure alignment and reconciliation between operational records, asset registers, securitisation reporting and financial records.

  • Maintain a strong focus on data accuracy, completeness and control.

  • Support and guide the Treasury Accountant in maintaining an accurate daily record of the vehicle fleet.
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive process improvement, standardisation and automation across all areas of responsibility.

  • Use data, KPI reporting and root cause analysis to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, insight and control.

  • Champion best practice and continuous improvement across Finance and the wider business.

  • Encourage curiosity, challenge existing ways of working and drive sustainable improvements.
Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a key contact for Group Finance, Group Treasury, banking partners, auditors, tax advisers and other external stakeholders.

  • Support the Financial Controller in the delivery of strategic finance objectives.

  • Contribute actively as a member of the Finance Leadership Team and promote strong financial governance across the business.

  • Accuracy and completeness of vehicle asset records.

  • Timely reconciliation of asset movements.

  • Accuracy of additions, disposals and loss reporting.

  • Effective governance of the Company's vehicle asset portfolio.
Leadership and Continuous Improvement
  • Achievement of team KPIs and objectives.

  • Delivery of process improvement initiatives.

  • Team engagement, development and succession planning.

  • Improvement in reporting quality, efficiency and financial controls.

Experience and Attributes

Essential

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

  • Strong financial reporting, accounting and financial control experience.

  • Experience managing and developing finance teams.

  • Strong understanding of statutory accounts, balance sheet governance and audit management.

  • Excellent analytical, organisational and problem\-solving skills.

  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.

  • Demonstrable experience of driving process improvement and strengthening controls.
Desirable
  • Treasury and cash management experience.

  • Securitisation or asset\-backed funding experience.

  • Experience within an asset\-intensive, leasing or vehicle\-based business.
