Financial Controller

SRM Recruitment is partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed international organisation to appoint a Financial Controller on a permanent basis.

This is a key hire for the business and offers an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader to work closely with the CFO across all areas of the organisation during an exciting phase of international expansion and transformation.

As Financial Controller, you will lead a capable and high-performing finance team, ensuring the delivery of timely and high-quality financial information while continuing to evolve and strengthen the finance function to support the next stage of growth.

We are seeking a hands-on and ambitious finance professional with a proven track record operating within a complex, fast-paced international environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, mentoring and developing the Finance team


• Delivering high-quality financial reporting, including monthly management accounts and detailed variance analysis


• Ensuring financial controls, processes and systems are robust, scalable and fit for purpose


• Business partnering with operational stakeholders to support bids, tenders and strategic initiatives


• Leading annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including ownership of reforecasting


• Driving continuous improvement initiatives across Finance and the wider business

We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE


• Experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders and delivering project-based work within a commercial environment


• Strong group reporting and consolidation experience within a multi-currency business


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels


• Prior experience operating within a fast-paced, evolving organisation

This opportunity would particularly suit an ambitious finance professional seeking a clear pathway towards a future Finance Director / CFO role within the next 12–24 months.

The package on offer includes:

• £90,000–£100,000 base salary


• 10% annual bonus
