Head of Finance

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting, Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee all financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the annual audit process in collaboration with external auditors to ensure timely completion.
- Manage detailed analysis of key performance metrics and portfolio performance in regular reporting.
- Supervise corporate accounting activities including general ledger management, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring appropriate controls and timely payments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and reporting obligations.
- Manage treasury operations, including cash flow management and liquidity planning.
- Monitor and manage capital movements to ensure efficient use of funds.
- Execute funding activities and distributions accurately and on time.
- Track and analyze portfolio performance through KPIs and financial analysis.
- Provide insights into financial and operational performance.
- Support valuation and forecasting processes relating to underlying investments.
- Provide financial oversight and support to operating business units.
- Ensure financial performance aligns with strategic goals through partnership with operational teams.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of financial systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Act as a key point of contact between finance and other departments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and service providers.
- Uphold integrity, professionalism, and collaboration in all activities.
- Support organisational initiatives, including sustainability and governance priorities.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Significant experience in a senior finance role within investment management, private equity, real estate, or similar.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, audit management, and treasury operations.
- Strong understanding of performance metrics, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proven leadership in managing and developing finance teams.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with financial systems and process improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
