We are a well\-established boiler manufacturing business based in Sheffield, supplying high\-quality heating and engineering solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and detail\-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of the business and support strategic decision\-making.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you will manage day\-to\-day financial activities, reporting, budgeting and cash flow. You will work closely with senior management to ensure the ongoing financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day\-to\-day financial operations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and monitoring.
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure HMRC compliance.
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning.
- Monitor manufacturing costs and provide cost analysis.
- Manage payroll processes and pension submissions.
- Liaise with accountants, auditors and banks.
- Support year\-end accounts preparation.
- Improve financial systems and reporting procedures.
- Proven finance management or accounting experience.
- Strong practical experience using Sage 50 Accounts or Sage accounting software.
- Experience preparing management accounts.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience within manufacturing or engineering.
- AAT qualified, part\-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
- Experience with stock control and manufacturing cost accounting.
- Payroll administration experience.
