Job Overview
We are working with a fast\-growing international business expanding its presence in the UK market. As they scale their UK operations, they are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Finance Manager to take ownership of the financial function and play a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth.
Reporting to senior leadership, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial management — from strategic planning and reporting to compliance and team leadership. You will act as a trusted business partner, providing clear financial insight to support key decision\-making across the organisation.
Key responsibility
- Develop and oversee financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts aligned with organisational objectives and UK market expansion plans
- Lead all financial accounting processes including general ledger management, reconciliations, and statutory reporting in accordance with UK GAAP or IFRS
- Ensure full compliance with UK financial regulations, HMRC requirements, and internal governance policies
- Provide timely, accurate financial analysis — identifying trends, variances, and opportunities to optimise costs and improve profitability
- Partner with senior leadership and cross\-functional teams to deliver meaningful financial insights that support strategic decision\-making
- Oversee accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments
- Implement and maintain robust cost control measures across departments
- Manage internal audit processes and coordinate with external auditors as required
- Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team, fostering a high\-performance culture
- Support the business in navigating the financial and regulatory nuances of operating across the UK and international markets
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive finance management experience, ideally within an international or cross\-border business environment
- Fully qualified accountant — ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
- Strong working knowledge of UK financial regulations, tax obligations, and statutory reporting requirements
- Proven experience managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting in a fast\-paced, growth\-oriented organisation
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team effectively
- Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem\-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills — able to present complex financial information clearly to both finance and non\-finance stakeholders
- Experience working across cultures or with international parent companies is highly advantageous
- Proficiency in financial management systems and advanced Excel; experience with ERP systems a plus
- A senior, high\-impact finance role within a growing international business
