Impact Air Systems is looking to appoint an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to lead the finance function across our growing group of companies.
Reporting directly to the Managing Directors, this is an opportunity to become a key member of the senior management team, providing the financial leadership, commercial insight and robust financial governance needed to support the continued growth of the business.
This is much more than a traditional finance role.
Whilst you'll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance and effective financial control, you'll also play an important role in improving business performance through meaningful management information, commercial analysis and continuous improvement.

Impact Air Systems designs, manufactures and delivers specialist pneumatic conveying, dust control, fume extraction and material separation systems for industrial customers throughout the UK and worldwide.

The Role
Leading the finance function across two companies, you'll work closely with the Managing Directors, Business Systems Manager and wider leadership team to support strategic decision\-making and continued business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the day\-to\-day finance function
- Producing monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Managing cash flow, treasury and banking
- Payroll, VAT, PAYE, CIS and statutory compliance
- Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
- Developing financial KPIs and management reporting
- Providing commercial analysis and business insight
- Supporting project and operational performance through effective financial information
- Driving improvements to finance processes and reporting
- Managing and developing the Accounts Assistant
- Acting as a trusted business partner to managers across the Group
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical finance skills with a commercial mindset.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience managing a finance function
- AAT qualified, qualified by experience or part\-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA
- Experience producing monthly management accounts
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll, VAT, PAYE and statutory compliance
- Experience with Sage 50 (or similar accounting software)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and organisational abilities
- The confidence to work closely with senior managers and influence business decisions
- A proactive approach to improving systems, reporting and business processes
