Job Overview
Part Time \- Permanent Contract
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday\-Friday
Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, we are looking for a Part\-Time Finance Assistant to provide additional support to our Finance Department.
This is a varied support role, with a particular focus on invoicing, credit control and day\-to\-day finance administration. The successful candidate will work alongside the existing Finance team, helping to ensure financial tasks are processed accurately and efficiently and that outstanding accounts are followed up in a timely and professional manner.
The role would suit someone who is organised, accurate and comfortable managing routine finance tasks within a busy working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the preparation and processing of customer invoices.
- Assisting with credit control, including monitoring outstanding accounts and contacting customers regarding overdue payments.
- Recording and processing incoming payments.
- Assisting with purchase and sales ledger administration.
- Supporting the processing of company expenses and finance documentation.
- Maintaining accurate and up\-to\-date financial records.
- Assisting with basic account checks and reconciliations where required.
- Responding to routine finance and invoice\-related queries from customers and colleagues.
- Updating finance systems and internal records accurately.
- Providing general administrative support to the Finance Department as required.
- Working with the wider team to support an increasing finance workload as the business continues to grow.
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts, credit control or administrative role
- Experience of invoicing and/or credit control would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of accounting software, preferably Sage 50, would be desirable.
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good organisational and time\-management skills.
- Confident and professional communication skills, particularly when contacting customers regarding outstanding payments.
- Ability to manage routine tasks independently while also working effectively as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and support different areas of the Finance Department when required.
