Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced finance professional to join us and take ownership of all our day\-to\-day accounting and compliance needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, values autonomy, and wants to be an integral part of a close\-knit team.
Responsibilities
- Day\-to\-day bookkeeping across multiple limited companies using Xero
- Collating, processing, and reconciling invoices from all hotel operations
- Bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate ledgers
- Preparing and filing quarterly VAT returns for all entities
- Preparing year\-end accounts and liaising with external auditors or reviewers as required
- Preparing and filing Corporation Tax returns (CT600s)
- Producing regular management accounts and financial summaries for the directors
- Identifying process improvements to make our finance function more efficient as we grow
- Proven bookkeeping and accounting experience, ideally across multiple entities or companies
- Strong, hands\-on working knowledge of Xero
- Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns via HMRC Making Tax Digital
- Experience preparing year\-end accounts and CT600 Corporation Tax returns
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage your own workload and work independently
- Excellent communication skills — confident dealing directly with directors and managers
