We are now seeking a Field Care Supervisor to join our friendly, purposeful team and help us maintain the exceptional standards we are known for, being rated as Outstanding by CQC. We deliver care across Gloucestershire from our office base in Quedgeley, Gloucester. About the Role:
As a Field Care Supervisor, you will be at the heart of our commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and high\-quality care. Working closely with colleagues, customers and families, you will help ensure our services remain person\-centred, well\-led and responsive to individual needs. This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference every day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carry out new customer risk assessments and produce personalised care plans with care and professionalism.
- Monitoring care quality and compliance by completing staff spot‑checks, competency observations, and supervisions to maintain high standards across the services and teams.
- Provide training, mentoring and support for new staff to enable them to feel confident and competent to deliver outstanding standards of care and support.
- Assist the team with compliance, auditing and documentation.
- Supporting the development of unified organisational care standards across both Care at Home and Day Club services.
- Visit customers to review care plans, ensuring they remain accurate, safe and person centred.
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals, escalating safeguarding concerns appropriately.
- Support on\-call duties in line with the Care at Home rota.
- To provide cover for care visits where required to do so.
We’re looking for a caring, confident, person‑centred professional who is passionate about high‑quality adult social care.
You will bring:
- Experience as a Care Support Worker in Domiciliary Care, preferably already in a similar supervisory role.
- A full clean UK driving licence and access to a suitable and insured vehicle.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good IT abilities, preferably with previous experience of using digital Care Management systems (PASS).
- Confidence in supporting and developing care staff.
- A keen eye for detail and confidence in compliance and quality standards, along with the ability to recognise and escalate concerns appropriately.
- A kind and caring nature, with the ability to lead by example.
