Female Support Worker (Domiciliary)

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high\-quality care to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, dementia and Alzheimer's care, and be committed to enhancing the wellbeing and independence of those they support. Duties

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support


• Provide specialised care for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments


• Administer medication following prescribed guidelines and ensure accurate documentation


• Support patients with meal preparation and feeding as required


• Engage in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and routines


• Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment


• Support with transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or outings


• Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary


• Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life


• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver tailored care plans

Qualifications

• Prior experience in domiciliary care is highly desirable


• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care best practices


• Relevant qualifications such as First Aid certification are advantageous


• Valid driving licence for transportation duties is highly desirable


• Strong communication skills and compassionate nature


• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and adapt to individual needs


• Basic meal preparation skills and medication administration knowledge are preferred

Pay: £12\.92\-£12\.98 per hour
