Female Support Worker – £13\.00 per hour

Hartford \| Supported Living \| Full\-Time, 36 hour contract \| Day shifts

Rolling rota Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday \- every other weekend.

Calm Futures is looking for two Female Support Workers to join our supported living service in Hertford, supporting adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives.

About the role

No two days are exactly the same. You’ll get to know the people you support, understand what matters to them and provide consistent, person\-centred support that promotes independence, choice and confidence.

The people living within the service have their own personalities, interests and routines. They enjoy getting out and about, chatting about their day and spending time doing the things they enjoy – with football being a particular favourite for some!

Your role may include:

• Supporting with everyday tasks including cooking, cleaning and shopping


• Helping people attend appointments, activities and social outings


• Supporting with medication


• Providing personal care where required


• Encouraging independence and individual choice


• Following individual support plans and keeping accurate records


• Providing calm and appropriate support during behaviours that may challenge

About you

• Driving Licence Essential as required to drive mobility vehicle

• Able to and enjoys swimming as the people we support like to go swimming very often and you need to be present in the water


• Caring, patient and understanding


• Reliable and trustworthy


• Confident in supporting people with different needs


• Able to build positive, professional relationships


• Committed to providing high\-quality, person\-centred support
