Customer Service/Social Media Representative

About us

Capital Softeners is a friendly, local water treatment company. We supply, install and service water softeners, drinking water systems and hot taps for homes across our area.

We're looking for an organised, personable Customer Service \& Social Media Representative to be the first point of contact for our customers. You'll also help run our social media accounts. If you enjoy talking to people and have an eye for a good post, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do:

Customer service

• Answer incoming calls, emails and messages from customers, both new and existing


• Book water softener surveys (in\-home and virtual), installations and service visits, and manage the engineers' diaries


• Send appointment reminders, salt delivery updates and review requests by email


• Make outbound calls to active leads to follow up enquiries and book surveys


• Process salt orders and coordinate deliveries with our drivers


• Follow up on quotations and help customers through to placing an order


• Keep customer records accurate and up to date

Social media

• Plan and post regular content on our social media accounts, such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok


• Photograph and share completed installations, customer reviews and helpful soft water tips


• Reply to comments, messages and enquiries promptly and professionally


• Encourage happy customers to leave reviews and respond to them


• Keep track of what's working and suggest new ideas to grow our following

About you

• A friendly, confident manner on the phone and in writing


• Previous customer service or office experience


• Well organised, able to juggle bookings and keep diaries running smoothly


• Comfortable using social media for business, with an eye for a good photo and caption


• Good with computers: email, booking systems and spreadsheets


• Clear written English and good attention to detail


• Happy working as part of a small team and using your initiative

Experience in home services, trades or water treatment is a bonus but not essential. Full training will be given.

Pay: £26,000\.00\-£30,000\.00 per year
