About the Senior Support Worker Role
Our Senior Support Workers are a vital part of our leadership structure. You will be our eyes and ears on the ground, actively monitoring practice, supporting staff, and ensuring safe, consistent care.
This is a shift‑based role Monday to Friday with the following additional expectations:
- One weekend on‑call every four weeks
- One weekday evening on‑call every week
- All other weekends are completely off, with no work or on‑call responsibilities
You will also coach new staff during shadow shifts, complete medication competencies, undertake audits, and work closely with the management team to improve quality across the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Take part in the on‑call rota (1 weekend in 4, plus 1 weekday evening each week)
- Lead and oversee care packages on the ground
- Write, update, and review care plans
- Complete service user reviews
- Supervise, coach, and support a small staff team
- Monitor and improve the quality of care
- Audit staff notes and complete follow‑up actions
- Complete and review risk assessments
- Review and respond to incident forms
- Carry out staff spot checks
- Induct new staff and sign off shadowing competencies
- Undertake medication audits and medication competencies
- Attend management team meetings
- Provide problem‑solving support and escalate issues where needed
- Complete office‑based tasks when required
- Promote and uphold Crosspath Care’s philosophy and values
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) preferred
- *Level 2 applicants considered if willing to complete Level 3*
- Confident working with all service users on the ground

Pay: £13\.93\-£14\.25 per hour
