At Black Swan Care Group, we are currently looking for domestic assistants to work in one of our residential care facilities, Valentine House on a part time, 35 hour, permanent contract, £13\.45 per hour.

The working hours are 07:00am\-16:00pm, alternate weekends included.

Valentine House is an elderly care home in Silver End, a small village in Essex near Colchester. The Home is a large care facility able to accommodate up to 50 residents, including special support for those living with Dementia.

• Ensure all rooms and common spaces are properly cleaned and maintained throughout the building and assist residents who wish to participate in the cleaning of their bedrooms.


• Make sure domestic supplies are ordered and stock control records are kept and are up to date. Ensure all equipment used is well maintained and kept in good working order.


• Follow good hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the building as set down by the Health and Hygiene Authorities and ensure that the storage of all cleaning materials conform to the Home’s COSHH policy. (Ensure you maintain the Environmental Cleaning Schedule and checklist found in the Infection Control and Cleaning File.)
