This placement is to care for a MALE client who lives with his wife, he has vascular dementia, he enjoys doing crosswords and reading the paper. He loves to communicate with people and enjoys watching TV. This client has a Hindu diet and will only eat foods from his Hindu culture. He can communicate his needs and wishes. He uses a zimmer frame for mobility.

The Role

As a Live\-In Carer, you will be:

• Supporting individuals in the comfort of their own homes


• Promoting independence and quality of life


• Providing high\-quality personal care


• Supporting daily routines and personalised care plans


• Assisting with medication


• Offering companionship and emotional support


• Helping with light household tasks


• Preparing nutritious meals based on dietary needs and preferences


• Working alongside healthcare professionals and case managers

You will be living with the client and becoming a trusted and valued part of their daily life.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ care experience *(required)*


• DBS on the Update Service *(required, or willing to obtain one)*


• Calm, empathetic, patient, and warm nature


• Genuine passion for supporting others


• Strong communication and written record\-keeping skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Must be fluent in Punjabi

Desirable:

• Care certificates / relevant training


• First Aid certification *(highly advantageous)*


• Experience with care plans, behavior management, and case management processes
