Family Support Worker
Make a Difference to Families Every Day
FAASS is a unique residential family centre providing 12\-week placements for parents and their babies, where parenting support needs have been identified by Social Services.
Our role is to support vulnerable families during an important period in their lives. Babies supported by our service may be at risk of trauma, neglect, or abuse, while parents may be facing challenges such as learning difficulties, previous substance misuse, domestic instability, or other circumstances that impact their ability to safely care for their child.
At FAASS, we believe every family deserves the opportunity to thrive with the right support.
Throughout each placement, our dedicated team works closely with parents, offering practical guidance, parenting support, and basic training to help them develop the skills needed to provide a safe, nurturing environment for their baby.
As part of our specialist assessment service, staff observe and record family progress, working in partnership with Social Services and the Family Court to help achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
