Pharmacy Assistant (tier 2 work permit )

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented Pharmacy Assistant (Tier 2 Work Permit) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescribed medications accurately and efficiently


• Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards


• Provide compassionate patient care by answering queries, offering medication guidance, and supporting health promotion activities


• Maintain accurate records of medication stock levels, expiry dates, and inventory management


• Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations and maintains high standards of cleanliness and organisation


• Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions as required


• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes and enhance service delivery

Requirements

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is highly desirable


• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy


• Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients and team members


• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team


• A valid Tier 2 work permit is essential for this role
