The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join our growing Family Law team based in Nottingham. This role offers the opportunity to work on a high\-quality caseload within a high\-performing and forward\-thinking department. Some travel and occasional out\-of\-hours attendance will be required for business development activities, meetings, and training.
The successful candidate will have significant experience handling high\-net\-worth financial matters, Children Act proceedings, and a broad range of family law work.
As a key member of the team, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional legal services while contributing to the continued growth and development of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and progress a varied caseload across all aspects of family law, including:
- Preventative and advisory work
- High\-net\-worth financial remedy negotiations and proceedings
- Children Act matters
- TOLATA claims
- International family law matters
- Injunctive proceedings
- Develop and build a specialist area of expertise within family law
- Work closely with senior colleagues to progress matters and support the strategic development of the team
- Contribute to business growth through networking, relationship building, and market profile raising activities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering a consistently high standard of service
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, policies, and case management procedures
- Manage files efficiently and commercially
- Support, supervise, and mentor junior team members
- Maintain and develop technical knowledge and professional skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A recognised legal qualification
- Approximately 5\+ years' post\-qualification experience in family law
- Strong technical expertise across a broad range of family law matters, including:
- Divorce and financial remedy work, including high\-net\-worth cases
- Pre\- and post\-nuptial agreements
- Children Act proceedings
- TOLATA disputes
- International family law matters
- Injunctive relief
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and commercially minded approach
- Experience contributing to business development initiatives
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to work collaboratively while managing responsibilities independently
- Sound judgement, integrity, and professionalism
- Empathy and sensitivity when dealing with clients facing challenging personal circumstances

Pay: £65,000\.00\-£70,000\.00 per year
