FAMILY LAWYER – CONSULTANT SOLICITOR

Qazi \& Co Solicitors Limited is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join our growing practice on a self\-employed consultancy basis.

The opportunity

This position would suit an established family solicitor who has a following or an existing source of work and wishes to practise with the support of an established, SRA\-regulated firm.

The successful consultant will be encouraged to develop their own practice. The firm can also provide suitable family\-law enquiries and cross\-referrals, subject to availability and the consultant’s experience and capacity.

Areas of work may include:

• Divorce and financial remedy proceedings


• Private children matters, including child\-arrangements applications


• Domestic abuse and protective injunctions


• Cohabitation and separation disputes


• Pre\-nuptial and post\-nuptial agreements


• Other privately funded family\-law matters

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a solicitor, chartered legal executive or suitably qualified family lawyer


• Have substantial experience handling family matters independently


• Have an existing following or demonstrable ability to generate work


• Provide clear, practical and commercially sensible advice


• Have strong client\-care and case\-management skills


• Be able to meet all regulatory, compliance and file\-management requirements


• Be committed to developing a long\-term practice with the firm

Remuneration: This is a self\-employed consultancy position and does not carry a fixed salary. The consultant will receive up to 60% of collected professional fees from clients introduced by the consultant, together with an agreed percentage of fees from work provided by the firm. Indicative annual earnings are £45,000–£100,000\+, depending on experience, following, workload and collected billings.
