Factory Engineer
World Heat is looking for a practical, hands\-on engineer to join our team and develop into a key engineering role within our factory.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good mechanical and electrical knowledge who wants to learn a wide range of engineering skills in a busy manufacturing environment. You do not necessarily need to have worked in a factory before. You may have worked as a site engineer, service engineer, maintenance engineer, installation engineer, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, or in another hands\-on technical role.
The successful candidate will work closely with our current engineer, shadowing and learning all areas of factory engineering, maintenance, inspection, fault finding, improvement work, and product support.
The role will include:
Carrying out inspections and reports on returned cylinders and products.
Assisting with fault finding, repairs, and improvements to factory machinery.
Supporting machine maintenance and breakdown repairs.
Helping improve production processes, equipment, tooling, and product design.
Working on mechanical and electrical issues around the factory.
Assisting with engineering projects and continuous improvement work.
Supporting the production team with practical engineering solutions.
Learning how to diagnose problems properly and record findings clearly.
We are looking for someone who is:
Practical, hands\-on, and willing to learn.
Mechanically minded with some electrical knowledge.
Able to use tools and work safely.
Good at problem solving and fault finding.
Reliable, hardworking, and willing to get stuck in.
Comfortable working in a factory environment.
Interested in learning a broad range of engineering skills.
Experience in a factory would be useful, but it is not essential. The right attitude, practical ability, and willingness to learn are more important.
This role would suit someone who has worked as a site engineer, maintenance engineer, mechanical/electrical engineer, service engineer, fitter, installer, or similar, and is looking for a long\-term role where they can develop their skills and become an important part of the business.
