Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our growing children's physiotherapy team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist paediatric service, delivering high\-quality physiotherapy to children and young people with a range of developmental, neurological, musculoskeletal and complex needs. The role involves working across clinic, home, school and community settings, supporting children and families to achieve meaningful goals and maximise participation, independence and quality of life.
You will be a motivated and compassionate clinician with excellent clinical reasoning skills, experience managing a varied paediatric caseload, and a passion for delivering child and family\-centred care.
Salary: Competitive, dependent upon experience
Hours: Full\-time or part\-time considered
Location: Our temporary office is based in Ashton\-under\-Lyne; however, within the next 6 months we will be relocating to our new clinic and office in Stockport.
Essential Requirements
- HCPC Registered Physiotherapist
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
- Experience working within paediatric physiotherapy
- Experience working with children with neurological, developmental and complex needs
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Enhanced DBS check
- Membership of APCP
- Experience in hydrotherapy
- Experience contributing to EHCPs, multidisciplinary working and service development
- Knowledge of medico\-legal rehabilitation pathways

Experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist
Post: Paediatric Physiotherapist
Role: A specialist clinical role providing assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and support for children and young people with a wide range of developmental, neurological, musculoskeletal and complex needs. The postholder will deliver high\-quality, evidence\-based physiotherapy interventions across clinic, home, education and community settings, working collaboratively with families, carers and multidisciplinary professionals to maximise each child's participation, independence and quality of life.
Salary Range: Competitive salary
Hours of work: Full time (37\.5 hours), part time considered and TTO considered.
Contract Type: Permanent.
Location: Clinic and community based, visits across the North West.

1\. Clinical Practice
- Independently assess, evaluate and analyse the physiotherapy needs of children and young people presenting with a range of developmental, neurological, musculoskeletal and complex conditions.
- Establish individualised treatment goals in collaboration with the child, family and wider multidisciplinary team.
- Apply advanced clinical reasoning and evidence\-based practice to support assessment, intervention planning and clinical decision\-making.
- Develop, implement and review evidence\-based physiotherapy and rehabilitation programmes tailored to the individual needs of each child and family.
- Deliver physiotherapy interventions within clinic, home, school, community and hydrotherapy settings as required.
- Assess and monitor movement, posture, function, mobility, participation and physical development.
- Adapt assessment and treatment approaches to meet the individual communication, sensory, behavioural and developmental needs of each child.
- Utilise standardised and non\-standardised assessments and outcome measures to support clinical decision\-making, goal setting and evaluation of intervention effectiveness.
- Evaluate and monitor treatment outcomes through clinical observations, outcome measures and feedback from children, families and professionals, adjusting intervention plans in response to changing needs.
- Assess moving and handling requirements and provide recommendations to support safe practice where appropriate.
- Support families, carers, educational staff and support workers in implementing therapy programmes safely and effectively within everyday environments.
- Promote participation, independence, physical wellbeing and quality of life through meaningful, child\-centred therapeutic interventions.
- Provide specialist advice and recommendations regarding physical management, positioning, mobility, participation and functional development.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records in accordance with HCPC, CSP and organisational standards.
- Ensure treatment plans are child\-centred, goal\-focused and reflect current best practice.
- Manage an independent clinical caseload efficiently and effectively.
- Prioritise referrals and workload according to clinical need, risk and service requirements.
- Maintain effective diary management to ensure timely assessment, treatment and review appointments.
- Produce high\-quality clinical reports, recommendations and documentation within agreed timescales.
- Escalate safeguarding, clinical risk or welfare concerns appropriately and without delay.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, secure and compliant with data protection requirements.
- Assess the need for rehabilitation equipment, orthotics, mobility aids and therapeutic aids.
- Recommend, prescribe and review equipment within scope of practice.
- Provide training and support to families, carers, support workers and educational staff in the safe use of equipment and therapy programmes.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and stored safely.
- Ensure safe operation of equipment by following manufacturer guidance, identifying faults and reporting repairs or replacement requirements promptly.
- Identify and report faulty or unsafe equipment without delay.
- Contribute to moving and handling assessments where appropriate.
- Prepare clear, accurate and timely clinical reports, recommendations and professional opinions for families, schools, healthcare professionals, case managers and solicitors.
- Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessments, annual reviews and associated documentation where required.
- Provide written and verbal recommendations regarding therapy provision, rehabilitation programmes and equipment provision.
