Facilities Manager

We're looking for a Facilities Manager to join our Sheffield Schools team based in Sheffield.

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 40 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of day\-to\-day operational facilities management services across school sites in Sheffield. You'll play a key role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient service delivery, working closely with school stakeholders and leading a dedicated team to maintain excellent standards across all facilities.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Facilities Manager, you'll be working within the Sheffield Schools team, supporting them in delivering high\-quality facilities management services. Your day to day will include:

• Managing day\-to\-day FM operations across assigned school sites, ensuring all services meet contractual requirements


• Leading and mentoring soft services teams, including supervisors, operatives and sub\-contractors


• Ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular audits and risk assessments


• Building strong relationships with school staff and acting as the primary on\-site point of contact


• Overseeing planned preventative maintenance schedules and managing reactive works to ensure timely resolution

This role of Facilities Manager is great for you if:

• You have strong operational facilities management experience, ideally in schools or similar environments


• You possess a good understanding of compliance and statutory requirements


• You have a hands\-on, proactive approach with excellent problem\-solving skills


• You demonstrate strong communication and customer service abilities


• You have experience managing contractors and can oversee their performance effectively
