Facilities Maintenance Engineer

Main Purpose of the Role:
To ensure the effective delivery of planned and reactive facilities maintenance across multiple sites,
maintaining the reliability, safety, and operational continuity of critical building services. The role
will ensure compliance with contractual KPIs, SLAs, SHEQ requirements, and client standards while
coordinating engineering activities and supporting subcontractors and stakeholders.
Location:
Leicester or Huddersfield, with regular travel required across our UK site network. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to travel.
Role Description:
As Facilities Maintenance Engineer, you will have experience in the commercial/mechanical sector
and will be carrying out all areas of planned and reactive maintenance. You will be working as a
mobile engineer between 2 sites. You will be a qualified, time served Electrician.
Main duties will include:
- Electrical/mechanical PPMs and reactive maintenance.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and CAFM documentation for PPM, reactive, and breakdown
- Prepare and utilise Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe
- Cultivate positive relationships with staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Ensure a Safe and Healthy working environment, including adherence to uniform and Personal
- Keep up\-to\-date plant logs at all times.
- Supervise and monitor subcontractors' maintenance activities on site.
- Adhere to contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain the CAFM system, ensuring accurate closure of PPM and reactive tickets with
- Operate a Permit to Work System in line with Technical and Safety, Health, Environment, and
- Undertake any other reactive tasks directed by the Facilities management team.
- Provide engineering support in emergency situations to ensure business and operational
Required Qualification/Experience/Skills:
- Qualified, time\-served Electrician with a relevant Level 3 electrical qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671\).
- Proven experience in commercial facilities/building services maintenance.
- Experience undertaking both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and
- Full UK driving licence
