The Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support children’s learning and development through play\-based activities

  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons

  • Encourage positive behaviour and social development

  • Help create a warm, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has experience working with young children (school or nursery setting)

  • Is patient, kind, and enthusiastic

  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Is committed to helping every child reach their full potential

  • Holds a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential depending on experience)

Essential Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification / 5 GCSE’s A\* \- C including English and Mathematics/Grade 9 to 5

  • Desirable Qualifications

  • First Aid Qualification (qualification not essential at point of application, training will be given if required)

Essential Experience
  • Experience of working with children of relevant age

  • A good understanding of the EYFS Curriculum

Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment
  • Desirable Experience

  • Experience of working with students with medical needs

  • Experience of working with children with SEND

Experience of delivering Phonics to groups of children
