We are looking for an experienced and motivated External Sales Executive to cover Scotland and join our growing sales team.
The Role
As External Sales Executive – Scotland, you will be responsible for managing and developing our existing customer base throughout Scotland, while actively identifying and generating new leads, customers and sales opportunities.
The role will involve regularly visiting existing account customers, maintaining and strengthening relationships, increasing sales and ensuring that our customers continue to receive a high standard of service.
A key part of the position will also be new business development. You will be expected to proactively identify potential trade customers, generate new leads, open new accounts and develop these into long\-term, successful customer relationships.
You will work closely with our internal sales team to maximise opportunities and support the continued growth of the business throughout Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
- Cover the Scotland sales territory, regularly visiting existing and prospective trade customers.
- Manage, maintain and develop strong relationships with existing account customers.
- Increase sales and identify opportunities for further growth within existing accounts.
- Proactively identify and generate new leads and business opportunities.
- Prospect for new trade customers and convert opportunities into active accounts.
- Arrange and conduct face\-to\-face customer meetings and sales visits.
- Present and promote our product ranges and brands to existing and prospective customers.
- Plan and log customer calls and visits on a daily basis.
- Manage your sales pipeline and ensure leads and enquiries are followed up effectively.
- Work towards and consistently achieve or exceed agreed sales targets.
- Provide a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Work closely with internal sales and other departments to ensure customer requirements are handled efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, opportunities and market feedback.
- Represent LDD professionally and uphold the company's high standards when dealing with customers and suppliers.
The successful candidate should have:
- Previous sales experience, ideally within the kitchen, KBB, home appliance or related industry.
- Experience in B2B and external/field sales.
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience of developing sales within an existing customer base.
- The ability to independently identify, generate and convert new business leads.
- Strong relationship\-building and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational, planning and time\-management skills.
- Good IT skills for managing emails, customer information, sales activity and reporting.
- A full valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel regularly throughout Scotland.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working predominantly in the field, with approximately 1–2 overnight stays required every six weeks, depending on business and customer needs.
