Location: Rainham, Kent (not Essex)

Working Arrangement: Full\-time office\-based position at our Rainham, Kent office. This is not a remote or hybrid\-working role.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 \- 17:00

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience, plus uncapped commission and performance bonuses.

Established for over 15 years, UK Import Services Limited is a well\-established customs clearance and international trade services provider based in Rainham, Kent. We assist businesses and private individuals with customs clearance, shipping and international trade requirements and have built a strong reputation for providing reliable, professional and customer\-focused services.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive with a proven track record of generating new business and developing long\-term customer relationships.

This is an office\-based business\-to\-business (B2B) sales role where the majority of customer contact will be by telephone and email. Whilst occasional customer visits may be required (and, where appropriate, accompanied by a Director), most sales activity will be carried out from our Rainham office.

We provide access to an extensive company database of businesses that regularly import and export goods, together with other industry\-specific lead sources. This means you'll spend your time speaking with prospective customers, building relationships with key decision\-makers and developing new business opportunities, rather than searching for companies to contact.

No previous experience within customs, shipping or international trade is required, as full training will be provided. We believe that an experienced salesperson can quickly learn our services and successfully develop new business opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

· Contacting prospective customers by telephone and email using an extensive company\-provided database of businesses that regularly import and export goods, together with other industry\-specific lead sources.

· Building relationships with key decision\-makers.

· Developing new business opportunities and converting them into long\-term customer relationships.

· Following up quotations and sales opportunities.

· Maintaining an organised sales pipeline and following opportunities through to completion.

· Working towards agreed sales targets.

· Promoting the company's range of customs clearance, shipping and international trade services.

About You

Essential Requirements

· Previous B2B sales experience is essential.

· Excellent telephone manner.

· Strong communication and relationship\-building skills.

· Self\-motivated and target\-driven.

· Confident speaking with business owners and key decision\-makers.

· Good organisational and time management skills.

· Competent using Microsoft Office and general computer systems.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Desirable (but not essential)

· Experience of cold calling.

· Experience of selling business services.

· Experience within logistics, customs, freight forwarding or international trade.

Commission \& Bonuses

In addition to a negotiable basic salary, the successful candidate will benefit from an uncapped commission structure, rewarding profitable new business introduced to the company.

Additional discretionary performance bonuses may also be awarded.
