You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, servicing and fault\-finding of a wide range of Fire and Security systems.
Whilst experience across all disciplines is desirable, we are particularly interested in engineers with strong commercial fire alarm experience.
You will be expected to:
- Service, maintain and repair fire alarm systems
- Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on addressable fire systems
- Commission and test fire alarm installations
- Service and maintain intruder alarm systems
- Support CCTV and access control systems
- Complete all service documentation accurately
- Provide professional advice and recommendations to customers
- Participate in the call\-out rota and emergency response services
- Maintain company standards of workmanship, health \& safety and customer care
Applicants must demonstrate good working knowledge of:
- Addressable fire alarm systems
- BS 5839\-1 requirements
- Fire alarm fault finding and diagnostics
- Fire alarm commissioning and maintenance
- Device replacement and programming
- Cause and effect investigations
- False alarm investigations
- Fire alarm networking and signalling
- Gent
- Protec
- C\-TEC
- Advanced
- Morley
- Kentec
- Fike
Experience with some or all of the following:
- Orisec
- Texecom
- Galaxy
- Honeywell
- Aritech
- Windsor
- ARC signalling
- DualCom / CSL
- App connectivity
- Remote diagnostics
- URN and police response requirements
Experience of:
- Hikvision
- Dahua
- IP CCTV systems
- NVR configuration
- PoE infrastructure
- Camera fault finding
- Paxton Net2
- Paxton10
- Paxton Entry
- Videx
Qualifications
We are particularly interested in candidates who hold one or more of the following:
Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Relevant Fire and Security Industry Experience
- Electrical competence
- Ability to work independently
- City \& Guilds qualifications
- Fire Detection \& Alarm Systems Level 3
- FIA qualifications
- FireQual qualifications
- ECS FESS Card
- Manufacturer certifications
- BS 5839\-1 training
- Electrical Qualification Level 3
- BS 7671 (18th Edition)
