Executive Assistant to CEO
Job Type: Full\-time, Permanent

About the role
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and commercially aware Executive Assistant to support the CEO of a diverse and growing business group.
This is a trusted, hands\-on and long\-term role for someone who wants to grow with the business. It goes beyond a typical office\-based EA position: you will support the CEO across business, operational and personal priorities, using sound judgement, initiative and complete discretion.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the CEO’s diary, appointments, travel, meetings, reminders and changing priorities.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, meeting agendas, briefing notes and executive summaries.
- Take meeting notes, follow up actions and ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate projects across the group, including research, procurement, suppliers, professional advisers and internal teams.
- Support business planning, administration, problem\-solving and operational decision\-making.
- Assist with personal, household, hospitality and family\-related administration and logistics, including occasional support relating to children where appropriate.
- Organise events and practical arrangements, including executive meetings and hospitality.
- Maintain organised records and handle confidential business, personal and family information securely.
You will be trusted to represent the CEO at meetings, events and with external contacts when authorised.
When the CEO is absent or unavailable, you may be expected to make decisions, progress matters and communicate on their behalf within agreed delegated authority. You must be able to identify urgent matters, use good judgement and escalate issues appropriately.
Working pattern and travel
This is a full\-time role working six days per week, with a flexible pattern that includes weekdays and weekends. Days and hours may vary to accommodate business meetings, events, travel, family commitments and operational priorities.
The role involves significant travel approximately20,000 business miles per yearincluding local, national and occasional international travel. A full UK driving licence is essential. All reasonable business travel, accommodation and associated expenses will be paid for or reimbursed by the Company in line with company policy.
About you
You will be dependable, mature, practical and comfortable working independently in a fast\-moving environment. You will understand that this role requires commitment, flexibility and a genuine long\-term mindset.
Essential requirements
- Previous experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, Office Manager or senior administrative professional.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisation and time\-management skills.
- Strong judgement, emotional intelligence, problem\-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and handle confidential information with complete discretion.
- Highly IT literate, with strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Confidence using cloud\-based systems, digital calendars, task\-management tools and video\-conferencing platforms.
- Strong social media management skills, including creating, scheduling and monitoring professional content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Effective and responsible use of AI tools for research, drafting, administration, planning, productivity and content creation.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally and internationally.
- Willingness to complete appropriate safeguarding or background checks where required.
- Ability to speak one or more additional European languages, particularly French, Italian or German.
- Experience in a multi\-business, multi\-site, entrepreneurial or fast\-paced environment is desirable but not required.
- Experience supporting a senior executive, business owner or high\-net\-worth individual is desirable but not required.
- Starting salary of £30,000 per annum.
