Events Manager
Due to the continued growth of our farm, we are looking for an experienced and driven Events Manager to lead and develop our busy and ever\-evolving events.
Working closely with the farm owners, you will be responsible for planning, organising and running all of our events throughout the year – from early ideas through to being on the ground, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day.
We welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors each year to events, mainly the pumpkin Festival. You will take ownership of this helping them run brilliantly year after year, while also bringing fresh ideas and developing new events for the farm.
This is a hands\-on, practical role – you’ll split your time between the office and being out on site, setting up, solving problems, supporting the team and making things happen. It would suit someone who enjoys being busy, takes pride in getting things done properly, and is happy working in an active, outdoor environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Solid experience in events or a similar operational role.
- A creative and forward\-thinking approach, with the vision to develop exciting new event ideas, stay on top of trends and spot opportunities to grow and enhance our programme.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills in person, over the phone and by email.
- A practical, “roll your sleeves up” approach – you will get stuck in, lead from the front, and be physically active and comfortable working outdoors.
- Experience recruiting, training, supervising and managing a team with confidence and authority.
- Meticulous planning skills and strong attention to detail to ensure the farm is 'Instagramable'.
- Strong IT and technical skills, with confidence using booking systems, managing information and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
- Flexibility to work during busy periods, including weekends and school holidays.
- Planning and delivering all farm events, from initial ideas through to pack\-down.
- Generating fresh, creative event concepts by keeping up with current trends, understanding your audience and identifying new opportunities to enhance the farm’s offering.
- Leading on event days – co\-ordinating the team, troubleshooting issues and keeping everything running smoothly.
- Organising layouts, signage, equipment and visitor flow, working closely with the wider farm team to ensure everything is ready when needed.
- Managing bookings, customer queries and website updates.
- Continuously improving how events run and how visitors experience the farm.
- Salary of £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience.
- A rare opening for a full\-time (40 hours a week), permanent position at Grange Farm.
- No two days are the same – this is a varied, active role where you’ll always be busy.
- A chance to take real ownership of a well\-established and growing events programme.
- Work outdoors as part of a friendly team in a great environment.
- Get involved in a wide range of events and projects throughout the year.
