Here at Pickled Pumpkin Catering, we are a young, dynamic, imaginative, chef led, catering company whose total priority is our high standard of food and service.
Our mission to liven up your events with fun, exciting and memorable catering for parties, gatherings or even office lunches falls hand in hand with our aim to inspire you and your friends or clients with innovative dining.
We bring restaurant standard food and remove the uninspiring menus in large scale events across the south of the UK. Rest assured we are consistent, from our sourcing of produce, your tasting evenings, to the memorably high quality, tailor\-made, finished product on your big day.
Not only do we pride ourselves on the locally sourced ingredients \& suppliers but also our resourceful ways to use recyclable packaging along the way.
When will i work?
Prep shifts \-
07:00am until 15:00pm
09:00am until 17:00pm
11:00am until 19:00pm
Event days \- can vary
On interview, if you let us know which schedual suits you then we can be very flexible.
The job
Experience is a must, however your experience can be wide as we provide catering in a number of different areas of hospitality.
If you are looking for a role where no two days are the same and the thought of change gets you excited then a role with us is definitely for you.
You will also get the chance to cater at some of the most prestigious wedding venues around the south of the U.K
Your main place of work will be located in caldicot where our contract catering site is, with our production unit on site too.

Whats expected of you?
- Responsibility for the Kitchen operation
- To deliver event service to a high standard
- To control wastage and to help maintain food costs.
- To ensure that in the preparation and presentation of food, the highest standards are maintained at all times.
- To keep the manager appraised of any problems within the kitchen. These would include staff, Health \& Safety, equipment, and any other areas connected with the Kitchen organisation.
- Assist in the responsibility for the operation of various sections within the Kitchen.
- To work towards and ensure a positive relationship exists between the Restaurant and the Kitchen.
- To constantly focus on guest care and service. Ensuring that everything that is done well improves and enhances the guest experience.
- To be fully conversant with the menu and to be adaptable with continual changes
- To ensure that the menu is kept in line with customer demands and Company policies.
- To ensure quality is upheld at all times.
- To take direct responsibility for all dishes served from the kitchen
- Attend any necessary training sessions or meetings, to make sure that Company Policy, the Vision Statement, and Departmental objectives are followed and utilised at all times.
- To ensure that all appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and work in accordance
- To be fully aware of the companies Fire Safety Procedures and Health \& Safety regulations
- The cleanliness, stock control, organisation and standards of the kitchen
- To comply with the companies HACCAP policies
- Excellent communication
- Ability to work as part of a small team
- Confidence in working alone, with food preparation
- Fast thinking and the ability to react to changes in customer volume throughout the day
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- To work in a high pressured environment
