Catering Manager

Pickled Pumpkin Catering is looking for an experienced, organised and confident Catering Manager to join our growing weddings \& events team.

This is not simply a “wedding day coordinator” role.
This is a hands\-on operational management position where you will take ownership of the catering side of luxury weddings, private events and corporate functions from planning through to execution.

The role is fully operational and physical in parts. Alongside managing events and teams, you will also be expected to assist with loading and unloading vans, transporting equipment to venues, and supporting the wider setup and breakdown process for events.

The Role Includes:

• Managing weddings and events from final planning stages through to delivery


• Leading catering operations on event days


• Driving company vans to and from venues


• Assisting with loading and unloading catering equipment, furniture and event stock


• Managing front of house teams and briefing staff


• Working closely with chefs, planners and venue teams


• Overseeing timelines, logistics, service flow and event setup


• Problem solving under pressure and making operational decisions confidently


• Ensuring high service standards and presentation throughout


• Assisting with tastings, showcases and client meetings where required

• Has strong hospitality or catering management experience


• Understands high\-volume wedding or event catering operations


• Is confident leading teams in fast\-paced environments


• Is organised, proactive and calm under pressure


• Is happy to be hands\-on operationally, not purely office or client facing


• Has excellent communication and people skills


• Holds a full UK driving licence


• Is willing to work evenings and weekends during peak event periods


• Takes pride in delivering premium experiences

• Has worked as a restaurant manager, events manager, catering manager or senior supervisor


• Wants to be part of a growing premium catering company


• Enjoys leading teams while still being operationally involved


• Understands that weddings and events require logistics, teamwork, physical setup and accountability — not simply attending on the day
