HelpBnk is a community\-powered platform giving entrepreneurs free help so they can get unstuck, share what they know and grow together. Built alongside Simon Squibb, we are growing fast, and events are how our community meets in real life: festival activations, founder sprints, pitch nights and community meetups in the UK and internationally.
We are hiring an Event Manager to build out our events programme alongside our Head of Events. You will own events end to end, from first idea to load out, in a small team where things move quickly and nobody waits to be told what to do.
What you'll do
- Plan and deliver in\-person and virtual events end to end: venues, suppliers, budgets, run sheets, logistics, health and safety, guest comms and on\-the\-day delivery.
- Take the lead on site, managing suppliers, volunteers and ambassadors so the event runs smoothly and the team can focus on the community.
- Manage event pages, registrations and guest lists across our platform, Luma and Eventbrite, and make sure the data flows back to the business.
- Support sponsorship and partner activations, making sure what we promised a partner is what they get.
- Track what worked and what didn't, and use it to make the next event better.
- Get stuck into whatever the programme needs. Some weeks that is a festival build, some weeks it is a spreadsheet.
- At least two years' hands\-on event delivery experience. This is essential. Agency, festival, brand or community events all count.
- A full UK driving licence. Driving to events with kit is part of the job. Your own vehicle is a bonus.
- Living within commutable distance of London, and willing to travel across the UK and internationally for events.
- Proactive to the point of impatient. You spot the gap and fill it before anyone asks.
- Calm and quick\-thinking when things go wrong on site, because they will.
- Comfortable with a fast\-changing plan and happy to flex your hours around events, including some evenings and weekends
- Entrepreneurial by nature. You would rather build something than run someone else's playbook, and you care about the people we do this for.
- Real ownership from day one, and a portfolio of events to put your name on.
- A front\-row seat in one of the UK's fastest\-growing founder communities, working directly with the Head of Events and the wider HelpBnk and Simon Squibb team.
- Hybrid working between our London office and home, flexible working and unlimited holiday days.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- London, Greater London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- United Kingdom (required)
- 25% (required)
