About the Role

AES Event Logistics is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Event Build Supervisor to lead and deliver exceptional event builds across a diverse portfolio of projects. This includes large\-scale events, brand activations, roadshows, and experiential installations both in the UK and internationally.

This is a hands\-on role requiring strong leadership, technical understanding, and the ability to manage teams and logistics on\-site to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

The role will involve regular UK\-wide and international travel, with flexibility required to work evenings and occasional late Friday finishes depending on event schedules and project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the event build team to ensure all setup tasks are completed according to specifications and deadlines.

  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth event preparations.

  • Oversee the organisation of equipment, decorations, and materials required for each event.

  • Utilise upselling techniques to enhance client experience and maximise revenue opportunities during event planning.

  • Manage time effectively to ensure all stages of the build are completed within designated timeframes.

  • Maintain high standards of organisation throughout the setup process, ensuring safety and compliance with health regulations.

  • Provide excellent guest services by addressing client needs promptly and professionally during the build phase.

  • Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations on event day.

  • Assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise during setup, adapting plans as necessary to meet client expectations.

  • Support warehouse operations, stock management, and event logistics where required.

  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently in line with health and safety standards.
Experience \& Skills
  • Proven experience in the events industry is highly desirable.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, vendors, and team members.

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates committed to learning.

  • Practical build and installation skills are highly desirable.

  • Experience working with machinery, power tools, and technical equipment would be advantageous.

  • Joinery or carpentry experience is desirable.

  • Previous warehouse management or logistics experience would be beneficial.

  • A valid forklift licence/certification is preferred.

  • Good understanding of manual handling procedures and on\-site health \& safety practices.

  • Ability to work confidently in fast\-paced, physically demanding environments.

Pay: £32,500\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
