About the Role

The Coleshill Partnership is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Business \& Enterprise Manager to support and strengthen the local business community through the town’s new Enterprise Hub.

This flexible, self\-employed role will act as the central point of contact for local businesses, helping to build stronger relationships between businesses, the community, and local stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in encouraging economic growth, increasing town centre footfall, supporting local enterprise, and creating opportunities for collaboration and development across Coleshill.

The role is designed for approximately 2 days per week, with hours flexibly spread across Monday to Friday to support business engagement, networking activities, and drop\-in sessions.

Key Responsibilities

\-Business Support \& Engagement

\- Act as the first point of contact for businesses seeking advice, guidance, or support within Coleshill.
\- Build positive relationships with local businesses, entrepreneurs, start\-ups, and community organisations.
\- Deliver regular business drop\-in sessions from the Enterprise Hub.
\- Signpost businesses to relevant support services, training opportunities, and professional networks.

Funding \& Grant Support

\- Identify and share information on funding opportunities, grants, and business support schemes.
\- Support local businesses with accessing available grants and completing funding applications where appropriate.
\- Maintain awareness of regional and national business support initiatives.

Community \& Partnership Development

\- Help develop a connected and collaborative business community within the town.
\- Act as a bridge between businesses, the community, local council, and partner organisations.
\- Encourage partnership working and shared initiatives that benefit the wider town economy.

Town Centre Activity \& Footfall

\- Support and encourage initiatives, events, and activities designed to increase footfall and boost the local economy.
\- Work collaboratively with businesses and stakeholders to promote Coleshill as a vibrant destination.
\- Assist in coordinating business\-led campaigns, promotions, and networking opportunities.

Enterprise Hub Management

\- Support the day\-to\-day activity and visibility of the Enterprise Hub as a welcoming and accessible resource for local businesses.
\- Maintain records of engagement activity, business enquiries, and outcomes.
\- Provide regular updates and reports to the Coleshill Partnership.

Person Specification

Essential Skills \& Experience

\- Experience working with businesses, economic development, enterprise support, or community engagement.
\- Strong networking and relationship\-building skills.
\- Good understanding of small business challenges and opportunities.
\- Knowledge of business grants, funding streams, and support programmes.
\- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
\- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible workload.
\- Confident facilitator with a proactive and approachable manner.

Desirable

\- Experience working with local authorities, partnerships, or community organisations.
\- Event coordination or project delivery experience.
\- Knowledge of the local business landscape within Coleshill and surrounding areas.

Working Arrangements

\- Self\-employed contractor position.
\- Approximately 2 days per week, ideally spread hours across Monday to Friday to suit the needs of the Enterprise Hub. (may include evenings and weekends as necessary)
\- Based primarily from the Coleshill Enterprise Hub, with some outreach and local engagement activity required.
\- Evening attendance at occasional meetings, networking or community events may be required.

Pay: £125\.00 per day
