Engineering Manager

About the role

Our client is a fast growing, well backed healthtech approaching Series A, building clinical algorithms that help doctors deliver better care. They have tripled their team in the past year and are hiring an Engineering Manager to grow the team \& transform the culture for scale. Backed by top\-tier investors, they are entering a critical growth with 5x growth over the last year.

What you'll do

• Grow, mentor \& manage high performing engineering teams


• Coach engineers to grow technically and professionally


• Raise the quality bar across code, architecture and delivery


• Take the team from startup to a high performing org with structure and pace


• Own delivery, shipping fast with the customer at the heart of it


• Build a high output, high trust culture of ownership


• Hire \& retain top engineers

• Minimum three\+ years of engineering leadership in high growth startups or scaleups


• Have seen scale before \& hungry to build it again


• Balance speed with rigour, shipping fast without breaking things


• Hands on enough to jump into code and architecture, but able to delegate


• Strong product mindset, focused on outcomes not just output


• Relentless about raising the bar on execution and hiring


• Hands on experience across Python, React, public cloud (AWS preferred), distributed systems such as Kubernetes, \& infrastructure as code
