This is a hands\-on, problem\-solving role where you’ll play a key part in keeping essential communication systems running when it matters most.
Working evening/night shifts, you’ll:
- Investigate and resolve radio faults across vehicles such as buses and trams
- Take ownership of your workload, planning and prioritising tasks effectively
- Ensure the right equipment is available — ordering and managing resources proactively
- Deliver high\-quality work with strong attention to detail
- Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, providing excellent service at all times
- Support your team and contribute to a “right first time” approach to quality and customer satisfaction
What we’re looking for
We’re keen to hear from engineers who bring both technical expertise and the right mindset. You’ll have:
- A strong technical background with hands\-on experience in radio systems, knowledge of RF technologies such as DMR, Analogue, VHF and Cellular or similar transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer\-focused approach
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast\-paced environment
The details
- Location: Leyland (on\-site)
- Role type: Full\-time, permanent
- Shift pattern: Evening / night shift
- 37\.5 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday evenings/nights as standard \- times will vary.
- Transport made available to travel to site from Leyland offices.
