Employment Lawyer - Local Authority
West Yorkshire | 6-Month Locum Contract | £50-£65 per hour | Hybrid/Remote
CRA Consulting are currently working with a local authority based in West Yorkshire who are looking to appoint an experienced Employment Lawyer on a 6-month locum contract.
The successful candidate will join an established legal team, providing advice across a varied employment caseload and supporting the Council on a range of employment matters.
The Role:

• Providing legal advice across a range of employment law matters


• Managing a varied caseload from instruction through to resolution


• Advising on contentious and non-contentious employment issues


• Working closely with HR teams and senior stakeholders


• Providing clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with relevant employment law experience


• Local authority experience is desirable but not essential


• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and case law


• Able to manage a caseload independently


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• 6-month locum contract


• £50-£65 per hour


• Monday to Friday working week


• Hybrid and fully remote options available


• Opportunity to work within an established local authority legal team
