Employee Relations Specialist
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded Employee Relations professional who enjoys solving complex people challenges. You'll partner with leaders across the Firm to find practical solutions to difficult situations, balancing legal risk, commercial priorities and the employee experience. The role is based in Bristol or Exeter, with occasional travel to our other offices.

Overview of the role
As the Employee Relations Specialist you will provide expert advice and support on employee relations matters across the Firm and will work closely with HR Business Partners and Advisors to lead on complex cases and investigations, develop policy, and support compliance with employment law.
Day\-to\-day
You will be the Firm's subject matter expert on employee relations, providing trusted advice on complex and sensitive matters. We will want you to:
- Lead a wide range of employee relations cases from initial assessment through to resolution, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, workplace conduct and flexible working matters.
- Provide commercially focused and legally sound advice to leaders, helping them manage risk while reaching fair and consistent outcomes.
- Conduct and oversee investigations into complex employee matters.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Advisors to share expertise, build capability and strengthen manager confidence.
- Develop and refine policies, guidance and processes, ensuring they remain practical, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Monitor employee relations trends and data, identifying opportunities to improve processes, mitigate risk and enhance the employee experience.
- Keep pace with employment law developments, translating them into clear and actionable guidance for the business.

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with sound judgement and a practical, solutions\-focused mindset. In particular we need someone with:
- Significant experience managing complex employee relations matters.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- The confidence to advise and influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent investigation, coaching and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
